Cookies and browser storage
Cookies are small records a browser can send back to a service. Local storage keeps information in your browser without automatically sending it with every request. Privacy choices may apply to both technologies.
Your language preference
When you choose a language or open a language-specific page, we remember it using a first-party “magicchip-language” cookie and the existing local-storage preference. The value is en, de, fr, it or es. The cookie helps select a language when you next open the main site address. A language already specified in the URL always takes priority.
This preference is not an advertising identifier and is not used to track you across websites. The cookie expires after up to one year unless renewed; the local-storage value stays until changed or cleared. You can delete both in your browser. If storage is blocked, language-specific URLs still work, but the main address may not remember your preference.
Optional Google Maps
The company page offers an embedded Google map. It is not loaded until you select “Load Google Maps”. Before that choice, the map area does not request the embedded map from Google.
Loading the map connects your browser to Google, which receives information such as your IP address and browser details and may store or read cookies under its own policies. You can view the office address without loading the map.
Select “Hide map” to remove it from the page. This stops the current embed; it does not delete information or cookies that Google has already received or stored. You can manage those cookies in your browser or Google settings.
Delivery and external links
Tencent Cloud provides website hosting and CDN delivery. The site also requests flag-icon styling from jsDelivr. These requests involve technical connection information; they are separate from the language preference stored by our website.
Email links open your chosen email application. WhatsApp, Alibaba and other external links open services governed by their own storage and privacy practices. Opening an external link is a separate choice from browsing this website.
Optional Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) only after you select “Accept analytics”. Before a choice, or if you reject analytics, our GA4 tag is not loaded and our analytics events are not sent. Advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalization remain disabled.
If you accept, Google may use first-party _ga and _ga_2SBJEQKDQZ cookies to distinguish browser visits. We configure these cookies to expire after up to 180 days from use; later consented visits may renew them. Analytics can include public page and product identifiers, selected configurations, document-opening or download clicks, contact-button actions, device information and approximate geographic information. We do not send inquiry field values, email-draft contents, search terms or URL query strings in our analytics events.
The necessary local-storage record “magicchip-analytics-consent” holds your choice, a version and a timestamp for 180 days. It contains no advertising identifier and records acceptance and rejection equally. After expiry we ask again. If browser storage is blocked, your choice applies for the current visit but may not be remembered next time.
Use “Analytics settings” in the footer to change or withdraw consent. Withdrawal stops our future analytics events and removes our accessible GA cookies. It does not erase data already received by Google. Google Search Console separately reports search visibility and indexing; it is not the GA4 tag.
Managing your choices
Use “Analytics settings” in the footer to accept or reject analytics at any time. Clearing “magicchip-analytics-consent” resets the stored analytics choice and prompts a new choice on your next visit. Clearing storage does not erase data already received by external services.
You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Clearing the “magicchip-language” cookie and local-storage value resets the saved preference. You can decline the map simply by leaving it unloaded.
Questions about browser storage or your personal information can be sent to our privacy contact.
