Information we handle
When you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your name, email address, company, inquiry type, product requirements, estimated quantity and message. WhatsApp conversations may also include your phone number and profile information.
Our hosting and content delivery services process connection information, including IP addresses, requested pages, request times and browser or device information, to deliver and protect the website. Requests may appear in operational or security logs.
The website remembers your selected language in your browser. Search terms appear in the search-page URL. Please avoid including personal or confidential information in searches, and do not send passwords, payment card details or unnecessary sensitive data in inquiries.
How email inquiries work
Our inquiry forms prepare a draft in your own email application. Filling in the form or opening a draft does not send the inquiry to MagicChip. You must send it from your email application. If no email application opens, you can copy the prepared message and email us directly.
Form entries are held in the current page while you prepare your message; we do not store them in browser storage or submit them to a website inquiry database. Your email provider processes the message when you use your email application. We receive it only after you send it.
Why we use information
Optional GA4 analytics is used on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw through the footer settings without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
We use received inquiries to answer questions, recommend configurations, prepare quotations and discuss your project. We do not use inquiry contact details for newsletters or unsolicited marketing.
Where the GDPR applies, responding to an individual’s request before entering a contract may rely on steps taken at that individual’s request. Business contact correspondence and website delivery or security may rely on legitimate interests in communicating with customers and operating a secure business website. These interests must be balanced against your rights. Information retained to meet a legal requirement is processed on that basis.
Optional services requiring consent are used only following your choice. We do not use website inquiry information for solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.
Who may receive information
Our staff handling sales, technical questions and administration may access information needed for your request. Service providers supporting hosting, CDN delivery, email and IT operations may process information as necessary for those services. Website hosting and CDN delivery use Tencent Cloud.
The website also loads flag-icon styling from jsDelivr. That service receives connection information when your browser requests those resources. Google Maps is optional and loads only when you select “Load Google Maps”. When you open WhatsApp or another external link, you interact with that provider under its own privacy policy.
We do not sell inquiry contact details. Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
International processing
Our company and team are located in China. If you contact us from another country, the information you send is handled by our team in China. Cloud, email and external-service providers may also process information in other countries.
Any transfer must be assessed under applicable data protection law. Where required, appropriate transfer safeguards must be in place. Contact us for information about processing locations and safeguards relevant to your request; this policy does not mean every provider stores data in the same country.
How long information is kept
We retain correspondence for the period needed to handle your inquiry and any continuing quotation or project discussion. The period depends on whether the matter remains active, whether the information is needed for customer support, and any applicable record-keeping duties or legal claims.
Information that is no longer needed for those purposes is to be deleted or anonymized. Operational and security-log retention depends on the relevant hosting or service settings. You can contact us to ask about the retention of a particular record or to request deletion; legal obligations may limit deletion.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the law that applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Email us with enough information to identify your correspondence. We may ask for proportionate verification to protect your information. We will handle requests within the period required by applicable law.
You may also complain to the data protection authority competent for your circumstances, including, where the GDPR applies, the authority where you live, work or where the alleged infringement occurred.
Browser storage, maps and analytics
Our Cookie Policy describes the language preference and optional maps. You can clear the language preference through your browser settings. A loaded map can be removed using its “Hide map” control; this stops the embedded map but does not erase information already received by Google.
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits, product interest and use of our contact and document controls. Google processes browser identifiers, connection and device information, approximate geographic information, and the public pages and actions measured. Google may process analytics information in other countries under its service arrangements.
Analytics stays off until you accept. You can reject it or withdraw consent through “Analytics settings” in the footer. Withdrawal stops future collection by our integration; previously collected data is not automatically erased. Analytics cookies are configured for up to 180 days from use, and your acceptance or rejection is remembered for 180 days. Report-data retention depends on the settings of our Analytics account; contact us about a specific record.
Our analytics events omit inquiry field values, customer names and email addresses, message and email-draft contents, search terms and URL query strings. A prepared email or WhatsApp click indicates an action, not a successfully received inquiry. Google Search Console remains in use for search reports. Advertising and remarketing features are not enabled by this integration.
Security, children and policy changes
Access to correspondence should be limited to people who need it for the purposes above. No method of internet transmission or storage is completely secure; please keep unnecessary sensitive information out of inquiries.
This is a business product website, not a service directed at children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact us so that we can assess and remove it where appropriate.
We may update this policy as the website or our practices change. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be explained where appropriate, and new consent will be requested where required.
